Taste of Africa 2014 was held at The Arc, Stockton on Tees.  It was a entertaining night filled with traditional performances, fashion show highlighting clothes with an African vive, poetry readings and serving's of authentic African fayre.   As well as show casing dance acts such as idance4me troupe and Middlesbrough Gymnastics Club, we held a talent contest Stagestar 2014 where we invited youths within the Tees Valley to enter a 3 minute video of themselves performing either a song or a playing an instrument or even a dance routine.  On the night the performers took to the stage where they were judged and the winner was presented with a mini ipad and a recording session.

 

The winner, Bethany "Boo" Coates was presented with her prize by Stockton Mayor Barbara Inman.
